02/2025, Dr. Xiujie LI was awarded the Buildings International Journal 2025 Travel Award [Link]

This award is granted by the international journal Buildings in MDPI to provide financial support for the winners to attend an international conference in the field of building environment and related research to be held in 2025, in order to hold a presentation, present a poster, or both. Only two junior scientists in the global architecture area were granted the travel award in 2025.

02/2025, A research article focusing on the effect of droplet composition on evaporation and transmission has been published in Indoor and Built Environment. (IF=3.2)

11/2024, Xiujie gave an invited presentation at the Building and Vehicle Air Environment (BAVE) Seminar of Young Scholars.

07/2024, A research article combining the PIV and CFD to resolve the atomization and transmission patterns of dental-contaminated droplets has been published in Journal of Journal of Hazardous Materials. (IF=12.2)

07/2024, Xiujie gave an oral presentation at the Indoorair 2024 conference and communicated with Prof. Lidia Morawska

12/2023, Xiujie was awarded the Hong Kong PolyU Matching Fellowship (Principal Investigator)

08/2023, Xiujie defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled "A Study of Pollutant Dispersion Mechanism in Medical Environments using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)"

05/2023, A research article evaluating the cross-infection risks of two dental atomization procedures has been accepted by Journal of Building Engineering. (IF=7.14)

04/2023, A research article numerically investigating the effect of environmental conditions on droplet transmission and evaporation has been accepted by Physics of Fluids. (IF=4.98)
